Our Cause

Hydrocephalus, or “water on the brain,” causes swelling of the head and results in developmental delay, blindness and eventually death. In Africa, these children are considered “cursed” in their community and will die without proper neurosurgical care.

Our partner will train a doctor from Malawi in a surgical technique to address the life-threatening condition of hydrocephalus. While in training, the doctor will help provide life-saving surgeries for 100 children in Uganda, sharing the gospel with each patient/family. The doctor will return to Malawi to save the lives of thousands more children and with the knowledge to train dozens of other doctors in this treatment.
